Dancing With the Stars Season 12 premieres on Monday, March 21, 2011 at 8/7c on ABC television network. The new season of the hit dance reality TV show features Hollywood celebrities with their dance partner. Also, Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke will return to host the show, while dancing experts Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba will return as the official DWTS judges.
Pro-dancer Derek Hough, who is the incumbent champion, will not be returning for Season 12 in order to film an upcoming movie but will return for Season 13. The 12th season casts was revealed on February 28 The Bachelor episode.
The Season 12 celebrity contestants are:
- Kirstie Alley, 60, who starred in "Cheers" and "Veronica’s Closet."
- Ralph Macchio, 49, the original "Karate Kid" and star of "My Cousin Vinny."
- Sugar Ray Leonard, 54, Olympic gold-medal boxer and former champion
- Chris Jericho, 40, a WWE wrestler and recording artist.
- Petra Nemcova, 31, a Czech supermodel.
- Wendy Williams, 46, talk-show hostess.
- Michael Catherwood, 31, a popular Los Angeles disc jockey.
- Chelsea Kane, 22, a Disney Channel starlet.
- Romeo, 21, aka Lil Romeo. He is the rapper son of past "DWTS" participant Master P.
- Kendra Wilkinson, 25, a former Playboy model and reality TV star.
- Hines Ward, 34, a Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver.
- Tom Bergeron and Brooke Burke will return to co-host "Dancing With the Stars."
